get out of debt

I’ve stopped using my credit card at all and got a debit mastercard so I have no excuse to use my credit card. I’ve set up a regular transfer to a savings account for the last few months, so every fortnight when I get paid $200 has been going into it automatically(totalling about $1300 now). I got my tax returns done for the last four years ($2200) and I’m getting a $900 cash government economic stimulus package. Altogether, this will mean I’ll pay off my credit card in one go ($3800)and now I’m working 5 days a week in stead of 3, so I can save up the money I used to pay off my credit card in no time. Just waiting for the tax return to be put in my account (which should be tomorrow), and the stimulus comes a week later.

slowly. but i had a job interview today for more part time work so hopefully I’ll get it and be able to earn some extra dough. (at a bakery. yes, I’m hilarious)
I’m kind of lucky though, most of it I owe to my parents. and they arent very demanding with repayments.
I only owe $1000 on a credit card, and it was for something I really needed. and my tax return should cover that. Then there is my car, which I have just managed to pay all the yearly maintenance cost myself with no loan so now i can just focus on paying off the balance of my loan to my parents. then after that I’m free… for a while, till my car dies.
