Mom is Coming to California

I am flying my Mom out for her 60th birthday. I asked her what she wanted or needed the most for her birthday and she said, “A break!” and she laughed and said, of course in perfect motherly fashion, “I don’t need anything. I have everything I need.”

I decided, along with my mother, that she needed to be with me and her grandchildren for her 60th birthday. She agreed and so I bought her the ticket and she’ll be here for the month of October! I’m so excited! She’s so excited! Which means she’ll also be here for Halloween.

We’ll be spending her birthday at Carmel in a nice bed and breakfast. So yes, I’m giving her a break for her birthday!
