Well my mini-herb garden is still alive! On the other hand, I have great fully given up the environmental studies class with the garden. I need more practice before I take on a project like that again!

While the growing has been slow going, it is finally happening! Our class garden has some lettuce and cucumbers growing. We have a whole lot of nothing else, but I’m happy to have anything. In addition, my own mini-herb garden is still doing well and growing too! So far, so good.
Our class gardens are being planted and we are just waiting for things to grow. I have thus been inspired to start my own garden at home. Today, I purchased a planter and planted some basil, rosemary and peppermint. It’s small, but its a start! I’m excited!
Pizza in the Pizza Garden went well. Several planters are complete, with 2 already planted. The remaining planters continue to be worked upon while we are in class. First seeds were planted last Monday – so I expect to see sprouts soon!
Tomorrow’s our class’ “Pizza in the Pizza Garden Day!”
Time to build our garden boxes (finally) so we can get some things planted before the end of the year. Let’s hope it goes well!
I know nothing about gardening. I teach an environmental studies class at a nearby middle school and we have a class garden. I am feeling my way through it, but – oh boy! Quite overwhelming. On top of that, I would love to have my own veggie garden on my back porch. That is where I will find my solice – someday I hope! This is more nerve racking than I would ever guessed it would be.
