Volunteer

I used to volunteer a lot. Then, I became a full-time teacher. I consider my after school tutoring with the earnest kids to be volunteering, but they’re on my roster; it doesn’t really count.

I’m looking forward to volunteering with the youth again. I love tutoring in math and reading for a child who doesn’t have the confidence to ask the teacher for help in class. Some kids really need that one-on-one time, and I’m willing to provide it. I also want to become a Big Sister to a girl, especially if she’s a chunky little girl like I was. Every “big girl” needs to have confidence instilled in her, and I can’t wait to do that for her.
