Enjoy this Summer by having at least one "new and fulfilling" experience in June, July, and August

I’m not as diligent with 43things as I used to be, but I looked over my goals and saw that I missed out on August. I don’t think I did anything truly big because I got my new job in August.

The closest I can come to a new experience is that I very briefly dated a 50 year old guy. I’m only 29. He was nice, decent-looking, and a hell of a dominoes player. We had great times playing dominoes. I wish we were still cool, but that was short-lived. Being around him exposed me to how relaxing 50 can be if you have yourself together. You can enjoy your life out with friends or at your well-put-together home full of memories.

Actually, I met this 50 year old while he was at his friend’s 54th birthday party. One of my tightest friends is 39, and she invited me to go to her swim buddy’s 54th bday party since I lived within 5 minutes of the party. Those baby boomers were off the chain! They made me laugh so hard with their dancing to their favorite songs. I even learned about Marvin Sease being the Candy Licker. shudder

So, I guess I really did do something new and fulfilling for August. ;)

A fulfilling experience for July was celebrating my birthday with my first cousin who shares the same birthday! We ate at Up The Creek Fish Camp & Grill. (Free meal/dessert on bday) We rarely hang out, but she’s still at my apartment about 6 hours later. This is really cool stuff!!! Family is cool….

One thing that I’ve done that was new and fulfilling was starting a home-based business!!! The goal is to make it a full-time venture, but I will admit that things are moving rather slowly right now. That doesn’t matter because I am more fulfilled because of it.

I hosted the party in my apartment that rarely sees visitors because the place was junky. I CLEANED IT UP. Not only that, I DECORATED! I never thought I’d be bitten by the decorating bug, but I enjoyed finding colors to complement my living room. It makes my place more livable. I’m digging this!

I actually have a couple for July, but I’m not done yet. Plus, I turn 29 very soon. This goal is going better than I thought. Yay me!

This is a cool goal. I need to do some new and different things that are fulfilling and good FOR ME! Listening to that Mary J. Blige song, “Enough Cryin’”, is motivation enough. Despite these foolish gas prices, I think I’ll drive somewhere for a weekend. I have a friend going to Chicago in June, so I may go visit him….

I can’t wait to see what else can be done over this summer. Good luck to everyone else on the team.
