if you’ve been struggling learning more than the basics but can’t seem to improve, chances are, you’re pretty much just scared and not notice it. well yeah, that’s what’s been happening to me.
so here’s an update.. it was like around a month ago when i broke my lame birdhouse deck (it was about time) after landing an ollie over a tiny gap. bored and focused on things other than skating, i spent time on improving psychology towards the sport. i eventually realized that it took a lil bit more than practice to get a step ahead.
i was previously stuck on practicing my kickflips and heelflips, but the thing is, i practiced mostly on the stationary—it didnt come to mind that i shouldve focused on doing kickflips while rolling in speed. point is, i was subconciously scared. and in no way would i get better on that state.
so that in mind, i made a promise to myself: man the f* up!
and so, a couple of weeks ago, i finally got my new deck through the mail (yes, i online shop). its an enjoi deck resin 7 with venture mid trucks and powell wheels..
needless to say, with that promise in mind, i could care less about missing the grip catching the flip in decent speed… its about time to thrash it, beyotch. lol
