My dad has taken a liking to building folk instruments in his retirement years. He started with a simple dulcimer and then went on to learn how to make more complicated instruments. He’s had a few hit and miss, but he recently made a beautiful mandolin. The sound is excellent.
I just think it would be nice to learn how to play this lovely instrument, especially because my dad made it with his hands…pass it down to future generations. I’ve dabbled with music here and there, but I think it would be nice to make a commitment to one instrument. Mandolin seems most appropriate.
