I was a bit dubious as to how well I would take to Japanese as I wasn’t great at languages at school but I’ve suprised myself with what I’ve learnt already. I bought a Japanese course but I’ve only listened to some of the audio course so far, in the car mostly, but it really does seem to be sinking in. Like the other day I had a dream were I was using my Japanese. I know it sounds crazy but I was using the words I’d learnt in my sleep. I quite often wake up in the morning and try and go through some of the words and phrases I’ve learned. I’m hoping to spend more time on this one really crack on with it!

...and buy a Japanese course. Bought one I’ve never heard of before but had a good review. I’ll see in a few weeks time how I get on with it. Just need to make sure I dedicate the time to it as I’ve found this to be my main stumbling block with other languages. I’m hoping this one will be different since I’ve now made a financial commitment and bought it. Watch this space!
I found a really useful website and I’m already learning the sounds and letters!
Here’s a link in case any others want to try Japanese:

It won’t be easy, but then what’s the point in doing something unless it challenges you? I only studied French at school so this will be something completely different, something that doesn’t use sounds or symbols I’m familiar with. Also, I think it will help me work towards one of my other goals, visit Japan. I think the two will work well together as I learn more about it.
I’ve often wanted to do this, but have failed several times. I’ve had the Spanish tapes, Greek CDs and French CDs. Duuno why but I seem to have failed at all. Maybe I’m just not dedicated enough to them. So what have I decided today- Japanese. Lol. That should be fun to learn!
