grow purple basil

I ended up buying an established purple basil plant a potting it and loving it, and away it went! So very successful! Its a bit like cheating, but I guess I didnt ever specify how I was going to grow it in the goal. I did give it a very fair effort tho – from seed and now as a plant. I reckon its done!

She is SOO unhappy. I have to re-pot and hope that makes her day!

SHe’s looking a bit sad today…all droopy leaved. I can’t decide what the problem is! I have put her back in the bathroom in the light and the heat, so hopefully that will bring her around again… fingers crossed everyone!

Wow. This is taking 4 months. Such slow progress. But the Basil is looking really good now. I think that I will feel really bad when it comes time to harvest and use some of my basil!

My little babies are growing up good and strong now! they even have real leaves!!! :D

hmmm… I am having serious doubts about the succcess of growing this purple basil from seeds. They aren’t really loving life, the poor little things..

they have grown… just the tiniest of all little bits! i think that maybe there is not the bext drainage for them, and not quite enough sunshine. Will have to leave them outside for a bit I think.

So the basil is in the pot plant, its been watered, loved and spoken to. But it’s not really doing so well. Maybe they are slow starters. Maybe I have overloved the little things!! nah, unlikely. They are above ground now, which is excellent, so I guess I will just have to wait. Not my strongest point..
