it kinda disgusts me at how many plastic bags i give out to people where i work, when they could do with out.
Its made me very aware of how much plastic i have in my life and how i would like to cut it down. Gonna start by using less plastic bags and recycle mine, and also try to buy products with less plastic wrapping on them.
my neighbour visited me today and asked if she could put some of her stuff in my wheelie bin as she had filled hers up already :) hehe i should start charging rent ;) lol

well we have had the wheelie bins around for a few weeks now, its not so bad when u can remember what goes where and when it goes out.
Only one problem, someone in my street decided to put their rubbish they couldnt be bothered to sort out in to my bin!! The cheek of it lol.
considering we only put one black bag out a week anyways before the new scheme it has actually reduced this down even more! Plus i have somewhere to put all my green waste that my composter doesn’t want to eat :)
it all seems good at the moment. Next job… find a bottle bank.
I have had a composter for over a year now, i try to pretty much recycle as much as i can.
The council in our area have just introduced wheelie bins to help reduce the amount of waste going into our landfil sites. Im not really fussed about them but its thrown alot of my neighbours, admittedly its a bit weird having to save all the dinner scraps. Im used to putting the veggie peelings in the composter but the after dinner waste (which we dont really have alot of. MMM food) that used to go in with the normal household waste, now that goes in our new brown bin its surprising how it all adds up!
So in a week they will be collecting my brown bin which holds all my garden waste, this bin is full to the brim :) thanks to the council for bringing these bins in at this time, it saved me a trip to the skip.
Then the week after they will collect my grey bin that will hopefully be only full of plastic wrappers. The Dink rubbish will be condensed down to almost nothing woo.
I dunno why they don’t just melt all the plastics into something useful shrugs but what do i know eh?
Still needing ways of making less waste tho… hmmm
