    “Boundary conditions provide
    “intelligence” in the form of information intrinsically available due
    to the space in which the information is organized.” ~Stan Tenen

    Why does Mr. Tenen emphasize the word ‘intelligence,’ but not ‘is organized’? [for English majors, is that “Use-mention distinction”?] And what is this “space” Mr. Tenen, and all others, speak-of?!

  • Sometimes you just want to say to someone, “I’m not sexually attracted to you; I mean – sure – if there were a nuclear annihilation, and we were the only two people left in the tri-state area, I may want someone to hold at night, & propagate the species with, (you gotta think about that a little – it’s just plain-old good-sense), (and I know what you’re thinking…); but… ‘No.’”

  • “Do we love our children? Then we gotta stop stealing from them.” ~Glenn?
  • This “augmented browsing” looks really useful_!!_
  • Did I share this idea yet? -ever play “chicken”?
    : ½-stick of “old-fashiun’d fire-cracker,” hang it about 3-feet off the ground, circled your ‘nebriated friends, (here’s one kicker – IDK the radius of the circle); now take about twenty-feet of fuse and loosely ‘knot’ it up (like Christmas lights in an old box), now wrap the whole thing up in a paper bag and light the fuse. It will burn for a few seconds, then it will hit another part of the fuse – now you you have it burning at a random point and one of those burning-parts will eventually hit another part of the fuse! Now you get to hear three or six burning fuses and see a few friends with varying degrees of philosophizing. fun!

  • The Hunger Games movie opinion: I give it 2/5 stars. (And the only reason I’m giving it a 2/5 is that I don’t want people to say I’m actually the kind of guy who would give a movie a 2/10.) The movie was very poorly done – almost zero character development, dang-near zero plot twists, (in fact, I’m going to use it to straighten my laser-beam later tonight), Various other major improvements could have been made. (But, as usual, great CG.) It was ‘low on blood,’ so good for that.
  • Looper (w/ those two actors with well-known names) Pretty-good time-traveling movie that kept the time-travel weird-ities to a small degree. (spoilers: Though, in the movie, I don’t think that Bruce-Willis dude played it w/ a desperate-enough look & feel.) And I think the kid and Joseph Gordon-Levitt should have had a strong psychic connection (though it should have been confusing to them as “why”). This would have led to a greater ending when the kid could sense Joseph realizing “why” it was all going to end that way, and then protect himself and his mom with a psychic time-shield as Bruce takes a final shot / when Joseph ended it! That’s how I would’ve done it.
    (An interesting ending anyways.)

    @6:05 “I am owning this watch” or “I am liking roses.” Sure, those look weird in English, but are they really poor sources of information?
    @6:18 what is information?
    @7:10 ”... because ... reasons...” (external-type reasons)
    What happens when I want to make some categories of things? What if I have three circles and a square – do I label them by shape, color or placement of the letter there-in? {in the picture: ABC, BCD, or ABD, respectively}

  • got another value-meal “extra” to share.
  • I laid there this morning and watched the dog push her way into the room past the small pile of clothes that were up against the door. Then she wanted to get back out, but the door was closed just enough so every time she tried, her side would catch the door and close in on her. LOL
    She must’ve tried 15 times before I let her out!!
  • “playing doctor” joke (I’m prtty-sure it’s mine)
    A frantic mother calls-up a father during a play-date, “I just caught Your BOYplaying doctor with my girl – I wanna know what kind of “young-man” you think you’re raising!”
    The man calmly replies, “Hey, this playing-doctor phase is a normal & natural part of life – they’ll breeze right through it.”
    “Normal,” She screams! “Natural?? – he’s removed her appendix!!”
  • “You wanna buy my Weather-Stone? It’s wet when it rains, icy when it’s cold…”
    I had a momentary thought of just saying to him, “Look, kid, you’re obviously embarassed to be trying to sell this worn-out crappy scheme, why don’t you come up with a better idea – one you can really believe-in, go back to your teacher, & demand this ‘sell-out’ change.”
    But I simply said, No thanks, and shut the door. Poor kid.
  • “You worry.” That’s one of my top-ten most-remembered movie lines. (One of the most memorable descriptions of parenthood I know of.) I think it was Donnie Darko’s mom.
    (Another top-ten media memory is when Bart Simpson sells his soul, then, among other oddities, a store’s automatic door won’t open for him!)
  • Little Big Minds has a short list of child’s rights on page 100, “by children.”
  • Forgot to wear green again; for, like, 20 years in a row now.

I chose a salad over a big pretzel; [random adverbly]-speaking I thought, for my big holly-wood movie, I’ll have it made so that a ninja is being chased by a robot with a giant hand, (as per one of my recent dreams), and he has to hide in a bin of big pretzels & breathe with a hollowed-out pretzel !

ah, memories:
  • “You put your seat-belt on in the cab, but you’ll sit up there [on the bed wall] with impunity.”
  • “i din’t hit you in two weeks – why’d you hit me?”
  • I’m driving with grandma, I come-up behind a car about to turn. Instead of curbing around him, I slow down behind him & wait a few seconds. She says something appreciative of the act. It’s nice to slow down and just wait somethimes. [It’s a place I remember driving, with a best friend, (RIP), slightly lost. ...Maybe this should go in my “Share My Wisdom” goal – I need some ‘padding’ there. Yes it will.)] http://www.43things.com/entries/view/5893719 “Lost?”

Ngram ” I just wondered how people of yore (didn’t) think of pencils & pens & paper plates in the “millions-of,” or $ in the “billions or trillions-of.” hundred,thousand,million,billion,trillion ”

I’ve recently become aware of a feeling I have, that it’s “a new, valueable commodity” if it “comes in a plastic bag.”
I don’t like this feeling. It’s obviously a subtle advertising mind-mastered paradigm-shifting thing, (the feeling is too strong & foreign to be endogenous.) (More introspection will be put into this.)

I heard that the former Costa Concordia cap’n wants his job back. I say, “Fine! Put him back on it, and let it sit there!”

I recently heard a politician on t.v. talking about “I have a picture of me & the President,”
and right-after he said that, the echo of it sounded so hollow, and I realized that it was a really “hollow” thing to say, kind-of. (I think he realized it too.) And if I were there & quick-wittied & mean, I might’ve said, “So does the President have a picture of you on his wall?”

I recently heard that one politician said, “I like imposing my opinions on others.” and I’m like, “duh, doesn’t everyone?”

“YIS”?? http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3380/3183368954_01ba911303.jpg

Was watching Roger Tolces – The Surveillance Police State & Electronic Harassment http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o0no2TZBTfk
He said as per the U.S. Styles Manual “ficticious name entity,” that a name spelled with all capital letters meant that it referred to a corporate entity that the actual was now in charge of, (responsible for). I found few references to it; one said in several replies on the same post that this was not true, but then at the bottom of the page, said: “and some formal company names;” (which opens the door again)! http://teamlawforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=130 (I’m glad they did say to go to the original sources & do your own homework.)
Mr. Tolces said that digestive tract cancer (“Gastrointestinal stromal tumor”?) was the second-leading cause of death. the CDC shows only cancer as a whole group, as far as I could find. I’m not sure where he got his info. [It is interesting that the CDC apparently keeps tabs on drownings & drycleaning!]

the notebook, &

I bought a cute little notebook for someone that was on sale, and an important safety device (I’m not sure who it’s going to, though).

And I shared some of the important new info I’ve found lately (hint:because because because because because… [Is that really a good reason?!] & an important bit about Andrea Yates http://jimmarrs.com/news_events/news/the-giant-gaping-hole-in-sandy-hook-reporting )
