I’ve had a lot of cheers for this one – thank you all! It’s frustrating that I won’t know if I’ve managed it for another twenty years at least.

Still my son, now almost 10 months old, is very excited to see me when I get back from work. That’s worth the absolute world to me.

This is a bit of an iffy goal, because it implies that I’m not currently a good father. I hope I am, although my son is only 5 months old so I’ve not yet had too much chance to prove it.

I think that I should change this to “be a better father” – that way I am signing up to continuing improvement. When will I ever be able to tick this off, and say I’ve done it?

Hm, need to think about that.
