I've Got A Plan 6 months ago

This is my new plan, and it’s worked for one day so far.

Here it is: (I have a laptop) physically remove your computer and put it away. It’s my newest goal during the week to not use my computer until say, past 9 o’ clock when I’ve at least done some work.

I guess if you have a desktop computer, take out one of the key plugs and physically disconnect it (make sure you know how to put it back :P) and then place it in a drawer.

I guess ‘reaching this goal’ for me is cutting internet/computer use to less than thirty minutes a day. For now. If that works then we could see a big improvement in my studies and my creative pursuits instead of hours in front of the internet.

I spend waaaaaay too much time on the internet. If it’s not youtube or facebook, it’s poker (which is really really reaaaalllllyyyy time consuming). I’ve already tried to implement a curfew for computer use (can’t use the internet before 9:00) but the problem is I’ll keep on going after this.

At least I get work done before I start, but it’s definitely a problem and I hope it’s not making me depressed/unfulfilled/whatever.

I definitely have other hobbies but it’s kind of like I’m obliged after I don’t have anything to do to go to the computer and just sit. Well, at least I need to stop spending away hours playing poker and do something more productive, that way it’s so much more satisfying.
