I learned to drive a stick-shift early on and much prefer it to automatic trannies. In my opinion – I think for city driving, it’s a little safer too. I don’t know how you could zone out while driving a standard; it’s pretty tricky to try to do other things too while driving a stick-shift (I’m thinking of those who like to eat, put on makeup etc. while they drive).
