Get all my mp3's properly tagged

Have started using smart playlists to manage my music.

Used ideas from this and this and it has really helped me monitor what is already there.

Anybody else use smart playlists like this?

...I lied when I said that sorting my computer out was the major battle. Oh how I lied.

Sat down to look at some backup discs I made a while back.

I’ve spent more than 6 hours and only got as far as D.

This will be on my list for a while yet…:(

I’ve sorted out everything that is already loaded up onto my computer which is about half the battle, and the hardest part cause the only thing available to back me up is the trusty old internet.

And the internet never lies, right?

I’ve just got the rest of my CD’s to upload now, and the back up disc that I took before my last computer wipe. Sounds like a lot more, but having the CDs to hand makes everything a lot easier, and it’s just picking through the back up discs to find what I’m missing, which although time consuming is just hunt and peck.

1. Do new songs as soon as you upload them. Waiting only makes it twice as difficult
2. Take regular back ups. That way you can just load and go, especially if they are all already tagged. Nothing worse than taking a back up, tagging half, moving things around, deleting and adding and then getting your computer wiped. Big big pain x
