release a bookcrossing book

...was amazing!

Sat in my chosen location and just carefully left it on a bench before legging it! Was worried someone would think it was a bomb. I’m rather hoping that the sticky note that yelled “FREE BOOK” on the front of it may have persuaded people my intentions were pure.

Very exciting.

And as far as I know the bomb squad weren’t called out so pluses all round!

...Will go out sometime this week. Watch out world, here I come!

Was sat in the coffee shop I planned to release my book in with my friend. As we got up to leave I got the book out.

“What is that” says she

“A bookcrossing book” says I * cue lengthy explanation about bookcrossing * “so I’m just gonna leave it here.

“Oh? Really? Cause it looks like something I might like…mind if I…”

“No * sigh * go ahead”

I figure it doesn’t really count as a release because it didn’t quite make it in to the wild. Never mind. She will enjoy, someone got a free book today, and hopefully I will have better luck at releasing one next time!

I’ll be releasing my first one tomorrow lunchtime. Very excited. Very very excited!
