I cooked two new dinners week. One was a Moroccan beef dish w/ couscous & veggies – it was delicious but gave me indegestion so that’s off the list. I also made a chicken & rice risotto which called for way too much water so I will half it next time. It was great for leftovers.

Made a blackened chicken salad the other night. It looked superb but the seasonings on the chicken ruined it. blech!
I made linguine with Asian herbs last night, along with Asian spiced veggies. I didn’t totally stick with the recipe so the main meal was good, but sweet not savoury. Maybe it was the brown sugar it called for. I haven’t done much Asian cooking so I’m not sure what all the tastes are, but I’ll hold off on this again for awhile.
With rice, glazed carrots, and oriental green beans. Main dish from Donna Hay’s “The New Cook” and vegetables from “The Practical Encyclopedia of Whole Foods”. I thought the main meal needed more flavour but my husband thought it was perfect.
