change the world

I met this single mom who was abandoned by her husband who took literally everything. So there was nothing at all, no stove, no beds, no matrasses, no washing machine, no money, really nothing. The kids where placed in a foster home by a judge, till the basic necessities where met.
So I went on the net, visiting all kinds of get stuff for free and second hand websites to get beds, matrasses, a stove and a washing machine, went to the store to buy blankets and stuff, got someone to drive a van and we went on a drive through the country to get all the stuff.
We connected everything, mum and us build the beds. The week after there was a case at the courthouse where the judge verdicted that the children could live with their mother again, first for a trial period, and now it is made permanent.
I will probably never see the family again, but it was nice to do something that changed the world for them.

1. Being a vegetarian.
2. Trying to think about what kind of clothes I buy.
3. My work: Helping people with there troubles with the government.
4. Writing to companies who don’t give a damn about workers rights
5. Being a volunteer in local politics.
Smaller thingies:
1. letting people in front of me if that bennefits both.
2. Smiling and saying ‘hi’ to people int he street I walk in.
3. Always throw thing away in dustbins and not throwing things on the street.
4. Shoveling the street around my house so no-one slips.
5. Obey the law, also in smaller things like a red traffic light, not walking on the grass and throwing the doodoo of the dog away.

I mean, it’s round. That’s just plain silly. Every planet is round. What makes the world distinctive? I will make the world a kube.

Okay that’s rubbish, but still, I think the world would change for the good, if just people would listen to me more. :)
