get corrective eye surgery or lasik

yay, its over with!
I had the procedure yesterday. My boyfriend took this picture with his cell phone. I’m lying down, you can see my legs, to the left of the doctors. thats my eye on the tv screen!

I went into surgery with vision at 20/550 (well, 550ish, they said it was between 500-600).
Today i had my follow up and my vision is 20/17! I have a bit of foggyness, which is normal. It should all clear up and once my eyes are fully healed (about a week) my vision will be 20/20.

Today i need to fill the valium and antibiotic eye drop prescriptions, load up my ipod with audio books (since i can’t read, use the computer or watch television for 24 hours after lasik), find my sunglasses, move some money around, and take deep calming breaths.

i can’t wait!!!!

they told me that i have to wear glasses only 3 days before the consult. sucky! my glasses are f-ing thick and cumbersome people!! why do they think i want lasik so bad? what a miserable punishment.

i already cheated yesterday for 4 hours and put them in. haha oops. hopefully they won’t send me to time out for that.

is Thursday. gulp. i’m pretty terrified about the surgery but i’m trying to calm down since this is only the stupid consult.

i can’t wait to be able to see again. :)

and the guy behind the counter asked me if i was over 18. i guffawed in his face. what on earth? apparently he needs lasik worse than i do.

i plan to win the lottery so that i can pay for my lasik surgery.
