2008 or bust!

So HP fan trips came out with a 2007 package, and despite the fact that 2009 will probably be the best one, I REALLY want to go to this one. Probably because in 2009, I’ll be the better part of 25/26, and I think things like these will be well spent on the earlier ages. I’m afraid the older I get, the more dull I become, so I probably won’t enjoy it as much as I do now. Plus, I’d like to have a kid in 2010, so it’d be borderline weird to be preggers and on a Harry Potter trip. I glumly went through my credit card bill for the past month to see how much I spent, and knowing that I had blown my budget, it appears to me that with the credit that I’ve thrown away on stupid purchases, I could have more than 60% of the cost for this trip. Now that I have so many people barking at me about the cost, I feel reluctant to go, but looking back, I see all the money I’ve practically wasted. I can be too generous with money and I can’t say no. If I can’t go this year, it’ll be a hard pill to swallow, but I can guarantee I’ll learn something from this.

I told my boyfriend that if he and I get married, this trip is what I want as a wedding gift from him. Although in 2007, Order of the Phoenix is due out (July 13th), and book 7 is due out, date unknown. A lot of speculation is flying around the message boards saying it will be 07/07/07, but I have a feeling it will come out on HP’s birthday: July 31st.

In October, the HPfan trips for 2007 will be up, which can either be good or bad BECAUSE book 7 is coming out AND also the Order of the Phoenix will be showing. Hmmm, I’ll have to see how this plays out. I just may go this year after all. !!!
