band’s called Hot Water and you can read about them here

there music is very South African, and very happy, and their energy was intoxicating. The small venue (a restaurant / live music spot) was packed with all ages even tho it was late on a Sunday. Little kids were dancing with the band up front, from the first song no-one could stay seated (those lucky enough to have a seat) and the range of instruments was eclectic. While the lead singer’s voice is not fantastic the music and atmosphere, and the smile of the second vocalist,(see pic) made it all so much fun.

great evening! the venue was perfect, a real ‘smokey wine bar / cafe with a totally eclectic crowd right across the age spectrum.

the music better live than recorded even – i had a fab time and will def. be back there again – they have live music every sunday evening, it’s just 10 min away and the food looked and smelled great!!

oh, and i think i’ll get the CD too…

probably not new at all, but new to me, as of today.

very cool band i discovered on the way to work today… they’re a local band to SA, newish, a young girl with a great voice.

ok so they use ‘myspace’ for their website but i guess it’s free and reaches tons of people.

I also found out they’re playing at a very lekker venue in Muizenberg, an old railway house alongside the sea which has been turned into a restuarant, on 18 Feb, so it’ll be cool to see them live.
