After waiting for 6 months after returning from a malaria zone I made an appointment to give blood then got an eye infection which needed quite strong antibiotics. That put me back a few weeks. Then on the next day I could donate a came out with a very attractive cold sore. Then 5 days after that the common cold, which you’re not allowed to donate with. Finally I get to go, in good health, and my iron levels were too low. Again.
This is not laziness, it’s actually a difficult goal for me to complete.

After the last time I gave blood they didn’t invite me back because of my low haemoglobin. I should have gone to the doctors and got a letter to say I was fine before this but as i’m lazy I didn’t. So this week was the first time I was invited back to a session.
Good news is I gave blood with no problems this time. You can give blood every 16 weeks, so if I have given blood three times by this time next year I will mark this goal as complete.

Given up already, as I went on the 2nd of Jan only to be told my iron was too low and I can’t give again for 12 months without a doctor’s say so. Typical.

I already give blood but my local mobile centre doesn’t come around as often as I could give blood. So i’m going to keep an eye on all the different nearby sessions and go as often as i’m elegible :)
