Watch the 1001 Movies You Must See Before You Die

I had seen this before but so long ago that my memory of it was hazy, so I thought it wouldn’t be right to mark it off the list until i’d revisited it. It was just as funny as I remember it being so i’m going to see if I can borrow The Producers next.

After a few aborted attempts at some of the Hitchcock films we have in a box set i’ve just ticked The Princess Bride off the list.

Since my last update I’ve watched Days of Heaven and am about to finish Rain Man.

My goal for the next seven days is to get my list on the computer so that I will keep track properly.

Not for want of completion but for want of organisation! I need to sort out a proper list rather than vaguely attempting to get hold of films i’ve seen mentioned when flicking through the book.

I have no idea how many of the films i’d seen previous to getting the book, but recently i’ve watched The Bitter Tea of General Yen, Les Vampires (which i’m already indebted to this book for showing me) and Birth of a Nation (which was every bit as embarrassing and cringeworthy as i’d been led to believe).

I currently have Days of Heaven, Great Expectations and Straw Dogs lined up.
