So I’ve honed my smiling at strangers and semi-avoided smiling at the creepster men…
It’s funny how a simple smile can strike up a fantastic conversation with the awkward teenager on the bus or a lonely elderly man on a walk though. That is one of the joys from this goal, turning the smile into a casual “good morning!” or a twisted conversation about some graffiti in the city. I love that feeling of spreading a smile, or even in the case when I’m in a bad mood— making my self feel better as well.
I continue to love this goal, so I refuse to mark it as done.

The only problem I’ve had from this goal so far is that I find I have to avoid smiling to middle aged men.
They all seem to think I’m coming on to them just by giving them a friendly smile! It’s unfortunate because I’m sure not all of them are pervy men, but they’ve been cut off by a few unfortunate smile experiences.

Found the commercial I was talking about that inspired me to add this as a goal of mine.
By Liberty Mutual, here’s the link:

I saw this great commercial today for Liberty Insurance I think… anyway- I thought it was a really fantastic representation of the connection between people doing little things and the chain of events following a simple smile or action.
