I’ve always wanted to know and be friends with a small time band or musician, so when they suddenly work their way up to being big, so I could feel chuffed that I knew them.
Even better would be to randomly come across a band that blew me away with their music and I would take much interest in them and so become good friend with them. So I would not just admire them as musicians but as people too, which I think is what is missing from being a fan of various bands. I want to be able to appriciate them for the people they are as well as just a band that put out good music.
