She seemed a little interested, but I realized that my seniority and age made her nervous. It was not something I expected: I thought I was the one that’s supposed to be nervous.

This is not so much a ‘want to’ as a ‘would like to’. Meaning that I’m not desparate.

I’m not too physically attractive myself, but I can probably get a young thing to be attracted to me just by paying attention to her in a way the boys won’t.

I think I should get a move on with this goal, while I still have a pool of potential candidates.

I feel cheated out of youthful amours, the firm titties, the smooth skin, the exploring mind.
