Although it hasn’t led anywhere, I’ve talked to classmates and instructors in my class. It was nice.

I took the opportunity to talk with people a bit, but I’m not sure it’ll go anywhere. But I’m meeting people and finding out what they do.
I will be starting an internship and taking a couple of classes, so hopefully this will be a new opportunity for me!
Well, I’m still working on this. I think the key to networking for me is to do things that are worthwhile—in the sense that I’m not going solely to schmooze. So far I’m taking a couple of classes and I’m going to do an orientation to be a literacy tutor.
I went to a networking event today. I clammed up like a…clam, but I’m glad I took a step forward. We’ll see where it goes.
I’ve always had a really bad association with networking=schmoozing/getting people to do what you want and then dropping them like hot potatoes when they’ve outlived their usefulness.
Goodness, that was long. I’m shy/introverted, so this isn’t easy for me. I’m trying to gather up the courage to be more open in what I want to be and do (although I still like my slightly mysterious/hard to read facade sometimes…it’s handy!)
