This is more an entry for my overall goals.

I’ve had a “blip” – an extended blip, if you like- through October and now winter is coming in fast, I need to motivate. Properly.

I am doing more walking than I was over the summer, but that’s purely due to walking to college and back every day. From today I’m going to take my pedometer with me everywhere to get a baseline measure of the walking I’m doing on an average week, then go from there.

I’m determined to do this.

I’ve decided to tackle this goal as a starting point for trying to get into some regular exercise. I’m not intending to do 10,000 steps straight away, but I’d like to start slow, build up and then maintain that.

I have a long term goal of being able to do the Couch to 5k program, but that’s not going to happen just yet because of the fact I feel so self conscious being seen running in public. If I can get used to walking, then speed walking, perhaps it’ll happen.
