Work in progress…

I have lapsed a little on this- I’d started off with trying to look after my skin and seem to have gotten out of the routine. Not sure how that happened.

I think I know what has happened actually. I’ve had a couple of mornings where, for one reason or other, my normal routine of getting up, showered, doing my hair etc just hasn’t happened. Back to the beginning on this one.



Ongoing... 16 months ago

So, it’s been a few days since i set about this and… it’s going interestingly.

The tooth brushing thing is a work in progress, but this week I decided that I had had enough of being completely miserable and hating how I look. Enough.

I’ve started by setting a mini goal for myself of looking after my skin: e.g remembering to take my make up off at night, cleanse, tone, moisturise etc. I’ve been doing it intermittently for about a month or so but now I’m making it a proper goal.

So there. Progress has been made, albeit slow (oh, and I got a haircut yesterday, so I HAVE to look after my hair as well..)

I’ve learnt that not taking care of myself on the basic levels is the worst thing I can possibly do for my self-esteem. Little things like brushing my teeth (always the first to go) or remembering to change my socks… can make a huge difference.

I’m going to start slowly, but the “look after myself” is a long term goal comprising many smaller ones.
