this past week there were five germans living in the house so i tried to just sit and listen when they spoke german. by the end of the week, my vocabulary was coming back to me. this gave me renewed interest in focusing on my learning of the language. i am excited for this coming semester bc i will be taking level three and also a conversation class for german
definitely going to germany in late spring/early summer… maybe for a few weeks in june. as i will have myriam and markus to visit as well as the german exchangers from this year and the boys of hamburg who were my housemates this past week. they pretty much insisted i come out and visit. yay
it has been decided. i am going to germany next spring to visit markus and myriam. possibly for a month, maybe only a couple weeks. that means in this coming semester i got to really work on learning german well. while i am out there, i think i will apply for some jobs and school. on a whim of course. maybe germany is in my future? it would be fun to live out there for a few years. ;)
so far with packing/moving/unpacking etc….. not much has happened here. currently my text boook is burried under a sea of random stuff in my trunk…. this will happen some day…. but currently is on hold
i went to a graduation party last night and a lot of my German friends were there (and their families). i took the opportunity to listen and practice a couple of phrases i have learned. i didnt learn much but i feel like any time you immerse yourself in the language it is helpful.
to read through and review what i have learned in the past year atleast once a week this summer, and maybe get some of the boys to help me study from time to time
I have just completed my second semester of German, my house mate this summer is a Germ and my best friend is a Germ, I think I can do it.
