meet my neighbors

Last saturday after the we finished passing out candy we went across the street and introduced ourselves to the neighbors that we hadn’t met. It was about time.

We live on a corner lot. The one street had a block party today that we went to for quite a while so we got to meet the majority of those neighbors. That made for a fun time and I think now we feel a lot more comfortable living here now. They definitely seem to be the more lively street that we live on. On the other street I’d like to meet just a few more of those people before I check this goal off, but today was definitely a major step in the right direction.

we had our neighbors over for dinner last friday. it lasted a little longer than i anticipated, but we had a lot of fun.

we had some new people move in down the street over the weekend so we’re not the new kids on the block…hahaha new kids OTB remember donny?

we’ve become friends with the couple living next to us and even have been going to church with them. We’ve also met a few of the other neighbors, but many of them don’t seem to be home when I am. There is a block party if a few weeks so that should be a good opportunity to meet some people.
