Visit Niagara Falls

the one weekend we decide to go to niagara falls, Buffalo, NY gets 22 inches of snow the night before we leave. We would have had to drive through it and since roads were closed we couldn’t go. Our hotel was booked through hotels.com and we had the choice of pay a cancellation fee or transfer our reservation to another hotel within a month. Since no other weekend would have worked we transfered our reservation to Cleveland and had a local vacation.

last night i booked a hotel on the Canadian side for the weekend of the 14th. I think it should be an interesting trip. I’m told that the Canadian side is very touristy…in fact I’m told it puts Gatlinburg, TN to shame it’s so touristy. It was suggested in a comment that we spend a little time on both sides to experience them both. I think i like that idea.

I’ve been to niagara falls, but only on the US side and it was only a 15 minute stop on a bigger trip. I hear the canadian side is much better. We’re thinking about going up there in a few weeks.
