This definitely seems like a good idea (that is, if it’s done properly), so I have made it a goal on my list.
It might be a good idea to pay special attention to the triceps. I have noticed it gets flabby and jiggly as women get older. Sure you can hide or conceal a jiggly behind or jiggly thighs or a jiggly tummy, but living in a tropical weather, short sleeves will invariable have to be worn. Actually, mine are jiggly as it is, but I’m sure it is much easier to fix this at 26 than it is at 56.
After doing a little research, I found that working out the triceps is integral, but that one should also work on the other muscles around it, such as the biceps and shoulders.
I have just made a goal out of this. Firm forearms, here I come!
Enough hours of sleep (to me, that means about 9 and a half!), and at DECENT TIMES (which I would say is: going to bed and actually falling asleep at around 22h or 23h).
I went on nivea.com (well, actually nivea.com.br ) and got a Face Care Consultation. Then I got some of the Nivea Visage products they recommended (a cleansing lotion, a toner, a day cream, a night cream and some eye cream). I have been following a facial routine twice a day ever since. Before that, I hadn’t had a facial care routine for a while. After just a few days applying the Nivea products, my skin already feels a lot smoother, much more moisturized.
If I keep this up consistently, I’m sure it’ll pay off big time in the long run :)
Wearing sunglasses apparently helps: “This will not only protect your eye area from the sun’s damaging rays, but will also stop you from squinting into the sun – another known cause of eye wrinkles.” (taken from “here”http://undereyewrinkles.blogspot.com/2007/09/protect-skin-surrounding-your-eyes.html . Here’s one more good link and yet another one .)
I’ll make sure to wear mine whenever possible, especially considering the amount of sun we get at this latitude.
Fruit and vegetables, enough dairy products, whole grains, avoid fats and sugars, drink lots of water, apply sunscreen everyday, do moderate exercise regularly, pay special attention to the health of knees, hips and spine, do exercise for the brain, maybe facial exercise. Use age-specific creams from a certain age on.
Out of those, I need to work on avoiding fats and especially sugars; drinking lots of water; doing moderate exercise regularly; attention to the health of my spine; doing facial exercise (if I conclude it’s a good idea). I’m thinking of starting with age-specific creams, too.
Later on, it might be nice to read some of those books on how to evolve your style as you age, and on how not to look old.
