I have no problems being loved. I have many close friends in my personal life, and many at work, too. But my major problem is with influential people at work. Some decided that it is bad to be a foreigner in this central European country. Since they are influential, they can heavily influence many colleagues who would otherwise be either friends or at least neutral.
In numbers, for every 1 bad apple, there are a dozen or more good ones. It is the few bad apples that make working here difficult. But I survive on my spiritual strength. Hope to correct my own faults and turn the few bad apples into at least some good berries:-))
