Simplify.

Turns out this means a lot more things than just my material “stuff”.

I’ve realized that I have to slow down. Not feeling the need to do 20 things at once. Really be present in what I’m doing, saying, reading at any given time.

This is VERY difficult for me. But I’m determined.

I’m starting to believe that my cluttered home is leading to a cluttered mind.
I can’t figure out where to start in the basement. So I’m thinking – just start somewhere anywhere!
And it will be better than it is now.

I’m really proud of us. We said that this Christmas we where going to really cut back and we did.

We even used brown recycled paper to wrap everything in. This worked out better than I thought. Since the paper was so plain the kids thought it would be nice to decorate it. So whenever I wrapped anything they got out the markers and stamps and went to town.
In the end every gift had it’s own custom wrapping. Well worth it.

I’ve been wanting to clean out the basement for ages. Then one day a water pipe in the wall burst. Needless to say that helped get rid of a few things.
But it has taken forever to get it repaired and it’s been driving me nuts.

But we’ve almost there. The last coat of spackle goes on today and hopefully it will be painted by the end of next week.

THEN I can go through all the stuff that we had to push into corners when the pipe burst. And maybe just maybe get rid of somethings.
