... though I’m pretty lucky that I don’t have more debt than I do. I still think it’s manageable, and I have a really good credit rating so my rates aren’t out of this world.
I currently have two cards: one with an OK interest rate from a credit union. One with a slightly higher interest rate from AmEx, with a much smaller balance. The first one has a few different move’s expenses on it, my hockey equipment, and my laptop. The second has mostly smaller purchases, when I realized my first card was getting too much on it.
Since I moved to Portland I’ve been very careful to not use my credit cards. I think I’ve only used one once. Because my apartment is so expensive I’ve only been able to make minimum payments. But I got a raise so hopefully I’ll be able to pay more. Also guess where my “economic stimulus” check is going? Uh huh, just where the government doesn’t want it to go. My credit card debt. Sorry, government.
