I had been debating getting a dog, but my apartment is too far from work to be able to come home every day at lunch to walk it… so instead I had the opportunity to adopt a stray kitty. So I don’t have to walk him… but little Toby is kind of a butthead for waking me up at 3 AM all the time. You get used to hearing random crashes from the other room when you have a cat. He also likes getting stuck behind the stove.
STILL WANT A DOG THOUGH. ARGH.

I’m going to be moving to Portland soon to get a better (and better paying) job and try out city life. I’m only looking at apartments that allow dogs and are near parks. I’d love to have a house with a yard but I don’t think that’ll be possible living on my own, especially considering I want to live in Northwest… I’ve found a building I’d love to live in, near Couch Park – I just need to get on their waiting list and hope something comes available when I find a job and prepare to move.
I LOVE big dogs, and I love active dogs, but since i’ll live in an apartment, I’ll either need a big, lazy dog… or a medium sized active dog (to run with me)... or I guess I could get a big dog and just make sure I run every single day. And make sure I can afford the food. :)

Well, I no longer have the boyfriend who doesn’t like dogs. But I have a no-pets apartment and I definitely couldn’t afford it yet…

Once we get a little more financially stable.
Once we move out of an apartment.
Once we move somewhere with a yard.
Once Andrew agrees with me that there is just something great about a dog… and a manx cat just wouldn’t be the same. (Maybe we could get a manx AND a dog.)
