I am fully aware of the fact that I am lazy and that I am riding my prev injuries/surgeries as an excuse to not do anything but that will be ending very shortly…..I am tired of feeling this way about myself.

I put in 45 minutes on the treadmill and my ass is literaly killin me! And the weird thing is it’s only on one side…hmmmm….Anyway so the setting was at 3 for most of the walk and I only put the incline at 1 because the surgeon said not to even do it (whatever) and I ended up walking like 2 1/2 miles and sweatin like a pig! I loved it! I was still a little leery of trying the other equipment until after my next follow up appointment so that was it but I LOVED it….didn’t realize how much I had missed it! Ok well I’ll try again tomorrow if I have time (have my follow up appt!!).
I am going back to the gym for the 1st time since the surgery and I’m a little bit timid about what to try. Wish me luck!
Ok the torn shoulder muscle has really put a kink in things….I have to have physical therapy for the next few months to fix what I damaged and let me tell ya something…...it sucks. The pain sits at a constant burn and my gym routine has been drastically altered….boohoo!
I have really been slackin since I hurt my shoulder but I am determined to pick it up this week and get back to my routine (well, slightly modified routine)! I am also looking into a Capoeira class ~ it’s a type of Brazilian martial arts that combines dance, acrobatics, music, and fighting techniques! Just imagine ~ being able to kick someone’s ass while getting down on the dance floor! LMAO! We’ll see how it goes…I am very awkward!
Since I hurt my shoulder I have done nothing! I feel like a lazy slug! I will be back on it ASAP. Like Saturday if humanly possible (or if I can get a sitter for a couple of hours anyway!) I can still do most of my routine just have to skip the arm/shoulder movements and cut the crunshes out cause they don’t feel real good right now either!!! Wish me luck!
I am soooo sore….I did my usual gym routine by startin g on the treadmill but I started at 3.5 on an incline of 2 and went for 25 minutes today and boy could I tell a difference after the 2 miles last night! I then went up to 70 crunches (please remember these are not full-on crunches merely out-of-shape half-ass crunches) and moved on to the weight machines. I am still at 2 sets of 10 reps each but am maintaining the 37.5 lbs and even tried to up the sets but got shaky on most half way through…..I am wore out! And am feeling my age….Ugh!
Ok, today was nasty, hot, and muggy so 2 miles on the Greenbelt was all I could pull out after a long day at work!
Today I started on the bike because the treadmills were full….I was on a level 2 and maintained 72 RPM and traveled about 10 miles for 30 minutes….Talk about working up a sweat! Much more work than the walking! Then I moved on to the streching and my crunches….which I upped to 60 and am feeling it. I then moved on to the leg extender/leg curls machine and upped the wieght by 12.5 lbs for a total of 37.5lbs with 2 sets of 10 reps each. My next area targeted was my triceps, biceps, chest, and back muscles….I did the arm curls, the butterfly machine thing, and the press thing. I only used the 37.5 lbs for the press because I just couldn’t hack it on the other two! Same set of 2 with 10 reps….I tried to use the dumbbells for some more behind the back tonig on my triceps but one of my shoulders kept popping and giving….Cooled down on the treadmill with a mile walk! It was great! But I am feeling it everywhere!
Ok so since I didn’t make it Friday, I went to the gym today. I doubled my treadmill walk to 2 1/2 miles and my crunches to 50. I did maintain the 2 sets of 10 each on each weight machine…...Let’s see I did the arm curl, the tricep thing, the bicep thing, and the leg curls (front and back). When I feel brave I’m gonna try and do the pull-ups but I feel like I would def eat it if I made an attempt right now, same with the ball. I’m not the most graceful! I am feeling it too but I love it!
