learn italian

I finished my 4th go-through of the CDs yesterday!

I also went through one of the lists on my BYKI program. It was simple, fun, and I learned a lot of animal names. It is great to be able to expand my vocabulary! Now, if I can just figure out those verbs…..;)

Buon Giorno! I’m picking this up more and more- it’s making more sense, and I’m getting more vocabulary picked up. I also picked up the workbook and read through the first 2 chapters. It helped to see everything written out. I’m going to read it some every week, I think it will help me pick this up faster- I’m sorry I didn’t do it earlier.

Yesterday at work I finished my second cycle through the CDs on my Italian set. I am picking up more as I go along. I found another kit at Costco today, which I will put on my to-buy list for a few weeks from now. I think it will be good to get another input to learning this. Break up the monotony when I can quote the first 8 CDs!

This is getting easier as I listen. I’m picking up more words. I can’t exactly start speaking in Italian outloud at work, but I do whisper whenever I can. At some point, I’m going to bring those CDs home, rip them to my computer, and make a copy for the car. More repetition in different places will help me learn this!

Note to self- tomorrow (payday) pick up RW-CDs.

My first cycle through the Italian CDs is now complete! Tomorrow, I’ll start on CD 1 again. I’m excited about going over this- the more I hear it, the more it will make sense!

I made it through 4 and 5 yesterday and today. I’m picking up more words, but the grammar is starting to get a bit confusing. This weekend I need to pull out the workbook, and work on that in conjunction with this. Tomorrow, CD 6- Friday, CD 7, and on Tuesday, I will be starting over with CD 1 after completing the cycle on Monday.

I think this will do the job- it will help me get a good grasp of the basics. But where do I go from there???

I got CD three in today, it was OK. I think I picked up a little bit more than I did before. I’m glad I’m going to be recycling through these, because I’m going to need the extra time.

Yesterday I listened to CD 2 while I was at work. I think this idea of listening to one CD a day is going to work. I’ve picked up some new words, and I’m getting an idea of the grammar structure.

On Monday, CD 3!

Today I listened to the 1st CD 4 times while I was at work. I’m very pleased with this, more and more is starting to stick. I’m trying to decide whether or not I’ll stick in the second CD tomorrow, or wait until Monday.

Or actually, now that I think about it, I think I’ll listen to all the CDs, one day at a time, and then recycle and begin again. That way it will still be fresh each day, but I will have the repetition I need to learn it.

So, tomorrow, CD 2!!

Today, I remembered to take the CDs with me to work- I forgot yesterday, even though I’d put them out with my purse. I listened to it twice today at work. I’m starting to be able to remember more and more. This is good!
