It’s so much easier to read my Bible when I’m Episcopalian! I guess that, for me, my former church was toxic. I’m not very consistent every day yet, but I’m getting there. I love the Psalms!

One day might not sound like much, but I was pleased.
I wanted to read the Easter story, and instead ended up getting caught in II Kings, and reading all of that, and some of Matthew. I didn’t get to the Easter story, but I read some of the miracles, and I believe I got in part of the Sermon on the Mount. My new Bible is a version I haven’t read (NIV in Bible School and KJV in Bible quiz as a teenager) and it was great to read the words in a new way. It puts such new perspective on things, and I needed that!
For this week, I want to read again tomorrow, and I want to read again at least one other day during the week. As to what I will read, tempting as it is to start at the beginning and read all the way through (I’ve started several times, but always got stuck around Job, plus I can’t put it down!!) I think I’ll start in the Psalms, and then begin the New Testament. I’ve read almost all of the NT, (or maybe I have read all of it, I can’t remember) so it seems best to start there.
