I’ve been walking to the bus stop and back home for the last week!
I actually like that time spent walking. I like listening to my ipod and just thinking about.. stuff.
It’s my quiet self-time.
Hopefuly I can keep this up for longer.
Jane has written 3 entries about this goal
I walked to the bus stop.
But I was just wearing the WRONG SHOES.
Why did I have to pick pointy toed heels.
Why.
WHY.
W H Y?!
It was a painful experience. GOING to the busstop was ok. but coming back was horrendous beause I was suffering from pain that I dealt with, all the way through uni. Walking back was 10 min of excruiciating pain. When I got home, I saw that littles bits of skin were scraped off of 3 of my toes, and 2 gigantic blisters forms on my 2 little toes. And 1 of the little blisters burst while I was walking and all the liquid in there oozed out.
I will do this another day with normal comfortable shoes. And I will do it sometime next week because the weather forecast is HORRIBLE for this week. (and I really hate carrying around umbrellas.. I really do).
I’m starting to take the bus to school because gas prices are like not my thing right now.
Ok but the thing is, I live about 8 min walk away from the bus stop.
But I DRIVE to the bus stop.
How stupid is that?
Also, the bus stop is situated next to our massive mall.
I also, drive to the mall.
I have all sorts of excuses – too many books to carry, my legs are kinda sore, it’s too sunny.. dont want to get sunburnt! dont want to get wrinkles when I’m older!, it’s raining, it’s pouring, the old man is snoring.
I guess the rain excuse is an acceptable one, but not the others!
I have to start walking – better for my health, my wallet, and the earth’s atmosphere :)
