Today I had a wonderful run, despite a freak wind that blew in a rainstorm while I was pounding the pavement. I love the feeling of strength, of breathing, of my body working in harmony. When I started running, triathalon was not my be-all, end-all goal. I just wanted to run for the joy of it. I wanted to be healthy and have endurance. Because, truth be told, I’m not huge into competition. I like my working out solo best, because it allows me to unwind and recharge my mind as well as my body. Nonetheless, I think I may check out the athletic events taking place around my new home, and perhaps have a sit-down with a trainer.

I love to run. I love to bike. I just need to learn how to swim. Getting active everyday is one of the best decisions ever made, and one of the best things about each and every day.
