visit 10 new places in my city

Out of the parks I’ve visited in Coral Springs so far, this one has the second best nature trail. I saw about a zillion butterflies and dragonflies, woodpeckers, a limpkin (I think) and a couple of chattering squirrels. It was nice and peaceful.

I found the name for this park pretty amusing, considering it’s in Florida, and there isn’t a mountain in the state. What you’ll find at this little suburban park is a play area for the kids, a jogging trail that’s been worn into the grass, and three small hills. Just as I got to the top of one of them, the heavens opened up and I got totally soaked. My camera wasn’t too impressed, but it dried out.

We found a great little German / Austrian pub last weekend. Joel sampled an assortment of sausages and sauerkraut, and I had the Shnitzel. We washed down our meals with a few frosty mugs of brilliant German beer, and listened to Polka while we ate. It was a good experience, and we’ll definitely go back.

I forgot to list this one a few weeks back. Two of my work buddies and I tried out Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza at the recommendation of our favorite radio dj’s – Paul and Young Ron. We really enjoyed it!
