I did it! I’m back to 165, after more than two months of mindful eating and excercising. (I actually lost 13 lbs, because I had gained 3 after I set this goal.)
I’m now going to lose 10 more—down to 155, which is really what my weight should be, given my height.
To anyone who’s struggling with this goal: it CAN be done. Be patient. Be consistent. Be conscious of when and what (and how much) you eat. It’s hard work, but it’s worth it!

Weigh-in this morning: 175 lbs. Dammit, right back where I started! Off to the pool to do some laps…

Although in the long term I need to lose about 20 lbs, I’m changing my goal to 10 lbs—it’s more realistic.
I’ve already lost 3 lbs since I started, but I haven’t been too rigorous about my diet. Thankfully, my foot is much better now, so I’ve been able to start excercising again (swimming).

While jogging last night, I slipped and tore the ligaments in my right ankle. I’m in a cast, and will be unable to excercise for the next eight weeks or so. This is certain to hamper my weightloss plan. Sigh.

I’m setting a specific target and date: 155 lbs by July 19 (my birthday). This weight is closer to my “healthy” BMI.

My target for this used to be called “Lose 10 pounds”. Alas, I’ve gained weight since first writing this! So now I have to lose another 10 lbs to be closer to my target weight of 155 lbs.
I’ve done it before (lost 40 lbs at one point), so I’m confident I can do it—it’s just a matter of discipline.
