master the guitar

Determination has paid off this week. I did a total of 23 and half hours practice this week and 4 gigs!

For those that want to do this I recommend getting yourself a practice schedule. I have 2 practice sessions a day, if I fail to do one, I double what I do the next day.

I have been playing guitar for 12 years now (with several years of barely picking the thing up. For the past two years I have made the tranition from Rock to Jazz, and now play the music of Django Reinhardt.

It is my goal to become an exceptional jazz guitarist, and to enjoy it whilst doing so!

Last week I set up a practice shedule, this is to fit around my new job, and to help me use my time in an effective manner. I play for half an hour before I leave for work, and a minimum of 1 hour when I get home.

So far I have kept to it…though I am worried now I am starting to get shooting pains and a dull ache in both my right hand and right wrist :(
