Get my blog to the top page on Google

There are a LOT of sites that have the word Jason Wong, so it was a bit of an effort. I get about 20 visitors a week who find me through Google. The strange thing is that people know you more than you’d expect them to. Complete strangers, and sometimes salespeople, which can be a bit disconcerting.


Now that I’m using my blog as the homepage for my SF DCCC race, it’s extremely helpful to have the number one ranking as a marketing tool.

I haven’t logged in, in a while, but I am now the first search for Jason Wong under Google. Had my friends link to me, as well as my company – http://www.i5labs.com, since it’s the source for all things i5labs.

A search for Jason Wong on Google lists www.jasonwong.org on page 5 on Google. I started on page 16 2 weeks ago. I consider this is quite the personal challenge to be the first listing on Google. Now to find a way to get ibm.com to link me on their home page…
