“Most of my heroes don’t appear on no stamps.”
- Public Enemy “Fight the Power”

I still think that there is lot of power to fight against and I don’t intend to stop. However, I am marking this as done because I feel that I do this on a daily basis on my own through my teaching, my writing, my research, and my willingness to speak out on things that bother me. Heck, I’ve even been escorted out of a national monument by security.

That said, I have compiled a list of five ways that I would like to continue to fight the power.

1. I woud like to appear in a subsequent edition of This Book While I think the book itself is a piece of shit and the author makes my skin crawl, I consider the collection of academics in this book to be an honor roll of sorts. If Ican be half the scholar and teacher that some of the men and women in here are, I will have far exceeded my career expectations.

2. I would like to be called out as an Enemy of America or something of that sort by This Jackass Seriously, if he’s for it, I’m probably against it. I would equally like for This Guy to put me On Notice.

3. Have a televised debate with HER and completely own her on national television. Click the link only if you really want to Scare the crap out of yourself

4. Go on Her Televsion Show and ask her politely to stop butchering my favorite classic novels and to stop pretending like she is a literature professor. She’s not.

5. Follow examples set by Him , and Her, and Him not to mention Frederick Douglass, Sojourner Truth, James Baldwin, Henry David Thoreau, Mother Teresa, Martin Luther King, Malcolm X, and even Him and Him by speaking out for, standing up for, and actively working for freedom, justice, equality, and poverty.
