“Yet those who wait for the LORD
Will gain new strength;
They will mount up with wings like eagles,
They will run and not get tired,
They will walk and not become weary.” -Isaiah 40:31
The verse became true to me, especially when i experienced a spirtiual high. Isaiah described it like soaring with wings like eagles. what a description!
But the verse has more sense to it than just getting a spiritual high. its a promise, that sometimes you wont be getting a spiritual highs you end up just running, just pushing on and persevering, like running in a race, and the promise is that you would not get tired if you wait on the Lord.
And of course the last and most important part of all, when you are just walking. so much problems in life, so many things happening that are just breaking you down, and your just walking. the way Jesus walked to the cross, beaten, bruised, faintingly tired and in pain. and the beauty of it all is the promise, that when we do, walk to the cross, we would not get weary.
