I went to a lost-and-found bicycle auction today. On the way back I passed the farmer’s market in the center of Stuttgart. Nice weather, cheap local tomatoes and basil, so many different kinds of apples. I took some 3D pictures:

Went to get some good fresh produce yesterday, then made a wonderful sauce with only 5 ingredients. First I chopped an onion and roasted it gently in olive oil. Then I added two tomatoes, cut in pieces, let them simmer for a good while, stirred in some cream cheese and home-dried parsley. Unfortunately, it looks a bit like puke in the photo.
Bought a good load of fruit and veggies today, including a fresh pineapple (which was admittedly not locally grown). Then cooked a delightful romanesco casserole for dinner with friends. The dish was based on an offhanded recipe by my brother Heinrich who works as a chef in Ireland. He suggested to add toast cubes and bechamel sauce and top it off with feta cheese. Yum!
And made a very nice lunch of pasta with a creamy sauce of fresh white champignons and fennel.
