take more chances

Ok So I did sorta take a chance. I met this girl online. Normally i don’t do online dating but we’ve talked and I decided that i should just meet her and see what’s what. Truth be told, i don’t feel much of a spark over the phone or IM. But that’s probably because i’m so damn awkward. So i’m just going to meet her tommorrow and try and make a new friend. Regardless of the outcome

Today I took a chance, a rather big chance for me. I simply told a girl that I was attracted to her. Although I didn’t actually say the words “I like you” I sort of implied it. It took me a couple of hours to work myself into actually doing it. I kept imagining all of her possible reactions. I did it not expecting anything from her mererly just to take a chance. And I did it through text messaging which really wasn’t the way to go. Reflecting on it now, it really wasn’t the smartest thing to do. Fist off, things felt weird between her and I. Like a 10 inch glass wall between us. But I am proud that I actually told her something instead of just holding it in. I’m sure the weirdness will fizzle eventually. It’s true about that saying though, “The fear of something is often worse than the thing itself.”
